About Us

OUR VISION

As Hasan Kalyoncu University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Department of Gastronomy and
Culinary Arts, our vision is; To be a world-class department that has acquired the equipment required
by today's education and training activities, has an expert and constantly improving academic staff,
and leads gastronomy education with an education approach that constantly updates itself.
OUR MISSION

Hasan Kalyoncu University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Department of Gastronomy and
Culinary Arts, is aware of the relations between Gastronomy and culinary arts and other branches of
science, has innovative and original ideas, has developed the ability to work collaboratively, loves to
work on culinary cultures, and knows food chemistry in the kitchen. It aims to raise individuals who
can produce, think about the concept of nutrition and evaluate gastronomy and culinary arts within
the scope of tourism. In addition, our department aims to scientifically examine the flavors we have,
to base these studies on fields such as history, anthropology and sociology, to promote them both in
national and international platforms, to contribute to raising the qualified and sought-after
manpower needed by the sector, to interpret our local food culture according to the requirements of
the age, provided that it is true to its essence. It aims to raise individuals who will pass it on to future
generations.
