Head of Department’s Message

Dear Chef and Manager Candidates;

Our Gastronomy and Culinary Arts department appeals to students who take pleasure in eating and cooking, are eager to learn correct cooking and presentation techniques, and wish to gain in-depth knowledge regarding the historical and cultural development of the kitchen.

Our primary goal is to graduate and introduce to the sector chefs, managers, or entrepreneurs who are fully equipped in the fields of food science, nutrition and dietetics, tourism, history, art, and culture—holding sustainability as a core principle and having gained an interdisciplinary quality.

Considering that learning is a lifelong process, we invite you to Gaziantep—a 2015 UNESCO World City of Gastronomy that embodies every culinary element—to embark on this journey with our fully-equipped academic staff and a campus infrastructure designed to ensure you graduate as a university-educated gastronome.

As Hasan Kalyoncu University, we are ready to cultivate the chefs, managers, and business owners of the future.
